AVERT
(Active Violence Emergency Response Training)

An AVERT class starts with training on bleeding control, including tourniquet application. Then it goes into Active Violence Response. The Violence Response is an expansion of the Run, Hide, Fight principles that people know, and includes playing out scenarios.

MD Wear and Carry Permit Course
(aka CCW)

The State of Maryland requires applicants of a Wear and Carry Permit to have undergone training at least 16 hours in length for original applicants or 8 hours in length for renewals. The class must cover certain criteria and the student must pass a shooting test with a score of no less than 70% utilizing a prescribed course of fire. Learn To Aim's courses incorporate our simulator into the class to ensure students grasped the material and are prepared to pass the live fire exam.

MD Handgun Qualification License (HQL)

The State of Maryland requires those looking to purchase a Regulated Firearm to possess a Handgun Qualification License (HQL). The State requires this course be a minimum of 4 hours in length, and cover certain criteria including the student to fire a minimum of 1 round of live ammunition.

First Aid, CPR, and AED

Courses taught include First Aid, as well as Adult, Child, and/or infant CPR, and AED. The Health and Safety Institute certification is accepted nationwide.
